Sinopsis
('Caillou') is a children's animated series that simply and delicately shows the exploration of the world through the eyes of a small child.
Caillou is a nearly four-year-old boy who lives with his parents and his sister but is always surrounded by his grandparents and friends. Thanks to his imagination, he will create and experience a series of adventures that he will enjoy and teach children how to have fun and explore the world.
Each episode focuses on a new adventure in which Caillou is the protagonist and in which he will learn new things and enjoy it. Once his adventure is over, Caillou returns to real life where the episodes of the series also begin.
Through smooth animation and warm colors, we can observe Caillou's day-to-day life with his family and friends. He does not seek great adventures or conflicts that make the viewer reflect, but shows what it means to grow up and gradually understand the world as he experiences new everyday events.
It teaches both young children and adults to have a representation based on the normalization of emotions and that learning also means making mistakes, asking questions, and feeling. It normalizes learning through interest in what surrounds us, just as a child experiences everything he did not know about life before.
'Caillou' is a Canadian educational series for the little ones at home based on the books created by Christine L'Heureux and Hélène Desputeaux, writer and illustrator respectively.
