L'Alqueria Blanca

'L'Alqueria Blanca' is a TV series produced by Trivisión and originally broadcast by Canal 9 (RTVV). The fiction was created by Martín Román and developed by Manuel Valls, becoming one of the most ambitious and recognizable bets of Valencian regional television. It premiered in 2007 and remained on air for ten seasons, until 2013, with a total of more than 200 episodes.

Set in the 1960s, the series narrates the day-to-day life of a small fictional town in the interior of the Hoya de Alcoy, a Valencian rural environment where appearances are deceiving and beneath the everyday calm lie personal, social, and family conflicts. 

The central axis of the story revolves around two of the most influential clans in the town, the Pedreguer and the Falcó, who are at odds due to old feuds, economic interests, and power disputes. Amidst this conflict arises a story of forbidden love between the children of both families, which acts as a trigger for numerous tensions.

Envy, jealousy, class differences, and constant gossip will mark the lives of the charismatic neighbors of the municipality. Everything intertwines with a strong portrayal of Valencian traditions, the attachment to the land, the importance of family honor, and the weight of the past in a society still marked by the post-war period.

The cast is led by Ferrán Gadea, Carme Juan, Pep Ricart, Carles Alberola, Raquel Palmero, Diego Braguinsky, Isabel Requena, and Manuel Maestro, among many others.

‘L'Alqueria Blanca’ was one of the greatest television phenomena in the history of the Valencian Community, achieving high audience ratings and becoming an identity series for several generations of viewers. 

Its cultural impact was such that, after the closure of Radiotelevisió Valenciana, the fiction continued to live on through the theatrical work ‘On collons està Sento?’ and the feature film ‘Benidorm mon amour’, confirming its status as a cult series within the Valencian audiovisual landscape.
