Sinopsis
Anime series based on the homonymous manga written by Kōhei Horikoshi and directed by Kenji Nagasaki.
All the boys dream of being superheroes, but not everyone can become one. To do so, one must have character, a sense of responsibility, and above all, superpowers.
The anime series 'My Hero Academia' was produced by Bones and distributed by Funimation and Crunchyroll internationally. Since its premiere in 2016, it has aired in several seasons: to date, it has seven main seasons and several OVAs and specials that expand the story.
Its impact has been enormous within the shōnen genre, becoming one of the most popular anime series of the last decade thanks to its combination of action, character development, and focus on the ethical and moral dilemmas of being a hero in a world full of superpowers.
In addition to its popularity on television and streaming, the series has inspired movies, video games, and a wide range of merchandise, establishing its position as a global reference for modern anime.
However, in this story, half of the characters enjoy superpowers, forming the typical struggle between heroes and villains. But the other half has been deprived of these abilities, resigned to being just another citizen of Yueiko.
Nevertheless, a boy from this displaced half, Izuku Midoriya, refuses to give up on the idea of being a superhero, and with the nation's emblem All-Might as his idol and source of inspiration, Izuku sets out to become a superhero despite not having superpowers.
It will be when he meets All-Might in person that he inherits his powers and begins to realize what it means to be a true superhero.
