Sinopsis
‘NCIS: New Orleans’ is the second spin-off that emerged after the success of ‘Navy: NCIS’, joining ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ within one of the most popular police franchises on television.
The series was created by Gary Glasberg and produced by CBS Television Studios to be aired by the CBS network.
'NCIS: New Orleans' focuses, like its predecessors, on a team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, tasked with solving cases related to military personnel. Their missions are set in New Orleans, an environment that provides a distinctive identity marked by music, local culture, and the southern character of the city.
The team is led by Dwayne Pride, a former sheriff's assistant played by Scott Bakula, who leads a group formed by agents Christopher LaSalle, Meredith Brody, and Sonja Percy. Alongside them work forensic scientist Loretta Wade, computer expert Patton Plame, and criminalist Sebastian Lund.
Its impact is reflected in the consolidation of the franchise as one of the strongest in the genre. Furthermore, although it is part of the franchise, it has no problem distinguishing itself thanks to its setting and the charisma of its protagonist.
'NCIS: New Orleans' has seven seasons that aired from 2014 to 2021. At first, it had very good audience ratings and formed a loyal base of followers. Additionally, its closer and more human perspective compared to the other installments of the NCIS universe allows it to stand out.
The main cast includes Scott Bakula (Dwayne Pride), Lucas Black (Christopher LaSalle), Zoe McLellan (Meredith Brody), Shalita Grant (Sonja Percy), CCH Pounder (Loretta Wade), Daryl Mitchell (Patton Plame), and Rob Kerkovich (Sebastian Lund).
