The Testaments

Fifteen years after the events that shook the regime of Gilead, a new generation begins to grow up under the rigid rules of this authoritarian system. In 'The Testaments', the focus shifts to young people who have been born or raised within this world marked by surveillance, imposed faith, and absolute obedience.

The story mainly follows two teenagers whose lives have taken very different paths. Agnes has been raised within Gilead to accept the role that society has decided for her, while Daisy comes from the outside and is unaware of many of the rules that govern this closed territory. As their destinies begin to intersect, both discover that their identities and their past are more connected to the secrets of the regime than they imagined.

While studying at a strict institution designed to train the future wives of the system, led by the enigmatic Aunt Lydia, the young women begin to question the reality they have been taught. As old conspiracies and new resistances come to light, their relationship becomes a key piece in understanding the future of Gilead.

Created by Bruce Miller and based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, the series acts as a direct continuation of 'The Handmaid's Tale', exploring how new generations confront a system that seeks to control every aspect of their lives
