Kate Mara was born in Bedford, New York. Her sister is the actress Rooney Mara. she graduated at the high school one year early. Despite of she was accepted to study at the well known NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she deferred along three years consecutive due to acting and singing. Her first famous movie was 'Brokeback Mountain' in 2005. After that she participated at 'Iron Man 2', 'Fantastic Four' and 'The Martian'.
