Lena Heady is a British actress born on October 3, 1973 in Hamilton, Bermuda but then returned to Great Britain at age 5. She was 17 when she performed for the first time in a school production at the Royal National Theatre. She worked steadily as an actress in small and supporting roles in films throughout the 1990s. A few years later she was involved in major productions as 'The Brothers Grimm' by Terry Gillam and also portrayed Queen Gorgo in Zack Snyder's film '300'. Since 2011 she has a major role as Cersei Lannister in HBO popular tv-series 'Game of Thrones' for which she was nominated for an Primetime Emmy Award.
