Raúl Ramón is a Mexican cinematographer and director known for 'Calling an Angel', 'The Powerful Victoria', 'Ana's Fight' and 'Seda'.

"I wrote this film ten years ago, it was a very beautiful process like all Mexican cinema, cinema in general, it was full of obstacles, the main one I think is financing, it is a very ambitious film from the point of view of production", was his statement on 'The mighty victory'.

He won the statuette for Best Director at the Ferrera Film Festival - the second most important in Italy, after the Venice International Film Festival - in this regard, the filmmaker shared: "When I received the Award and at the end of the ceremony, people approached me from the jury that was people from all over the world, I felt very embraced, I felt very safe because I realized that our project is not only for Spanish-speaking people, not only is it for Latin American countries but it is a universal story that It has a language and a quality of workmanship that convinced people, even in those places and with that level of quality and competence, the truth is that I am very, very proud."
