Biography
Sólveig Anspach was an Icelandic-French filmmaker and screenwriter. She was born to an American father and an Icelandic mother. After studying philosophy and clinical psychology in Paris, she enrolled in La Fémis and graduated with a diploma in directing in 1989. After that, Anspach spent most of her life living and working in France. Her film 'Stormy Weather' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. On 7 August 2015 Anspach died after a long battle with breast cancer at the age of 54.
