Michael Bay adapts in '13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi' Mitchell Zucker's book that tells the events that happened in Libya on September 11th 2012, eleven years after the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. An attack to the American compound in Benghazi ended with the United States ambassador's death, John Christopher Stevens, the first U.S. Ambassador killed in the line of duty since 1979. At the same time, the attack killed three citizens more: the specialist in technology Sean Smith and the SEAL Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. The film focuses in the security team that came to the rescue. A six members security team who fought to defend citizens who were at the scene of the crime, all of them were victims of the chaos and confusion that the attack provoked . John Krasinski, James Badge Dale, Pablo Schreiber, Toby Stephens, David Denman and Max Martini are the stars of '13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi', based on true events.
