Plot

A sociological experiment about the isolation effects in space missions begins when four aspiring astronauts are locked underground in a simulator for 400 days. When They are forced to get out of the ship, everything around them seems changed...and their minds begin to collapse. Trivia

The "space suits" are really motorcycle suits. They are augmented with a prop locking collar made from large gauge hose clips with a number of chrome fold-back clips (minus their handles) clipped around them.

Matt Osterman didn't reveal the symbolic significance within the film but he created a blog that hosts many of the fan theories about the possible meanings of the story.

"Daisy Bell", the song that Dane Cook's character (Cole Dvorak) sings while walking in search of Tranquility, is the same song that HAL 9000 sings in 2001: An Space Odissey (1968) while Dave Bowman is disabling him.
