97 Minutes

'97 minutes' is a British action film directed by Timo Vuorensola and starring Alec Baldwin and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The movie has a limited theatrical release in the United States, while in other markets it was directly released to video on demand and streaming platforms.

The film takes place on a transatlantic flight to New York aboard a Boeing 767. When Russian terrorists hijack the airplane, the aircraft has only fuel for 97 minutes of flight time: it must be freed on that time or it will crash and everybody will perish. Inside the jet is Agent Alex from Interpol (Meyers), who will be the responsible to coordinate the resolution of the abduction from the inside.

On Land, NSA Director Hawkins (Baldwin) isn't willing to wait and let the terrorists inside American soil. He wants to shoot down the plane before it comes into the United States airspace. '97 minutes' combines the plot from the liberation on the plane and the negotiation and diplomacy from the land.

The script of '97 minutes' is written by Pavan Grover, who also works as an actor on the movie. Grover is also a spinal specialist and minimally invasive surgeon at a Houston Hospital, where he was working while writing the film script.
