A Bathroom of One's Own

Antonia is a sixty-five-year-old housewife trapped by monotony and the constant chores of home that keep her busy all the time. Thanks to her hectic life, she discovers that bathrooms are the only safe places where she can be at peace without anyone interrupting her to ask for anything, so she begins to develop her true vocation: literature. Thus, Antonia takes advantage of any moment to escape to bathrooms in all kinds of places: cinemas, nightclubs, shopping malls, and seedy spots where she feels most comfortable.

One day, Antonia meets a rocker named Bob who considers himself "a shitty poet" for writing phrases on the doors of toilets. This leads to a good friendship between the two, which ends with the writer hiring the rocker to clean her house, allowing Antonia to make more escapes to even more bathrooms.

Her husband, Alberto, does not look favorably upon this decision, which ultimately leads to the end of that friendship. Outraged, Antonia decides to live in the bathroom of her house to fulfill her dream of being a writer, furnishing the room with a bed, desk, and even a small garden, pushing Alberto to the brink of a mental breakdown.
