Abigail

The city in which Abigail lives is surrounded by iron barriers. Long ago, a devastating epidemic swept through the city and thousands of people became ill, so the government of that time decided to close the city forever. Among the sick was Abigail's father, who died when he was six years old. Investigating this epidemic, Abigail discovers that that epidemic never really happened and that, in fact, he lives in a world of magic and the city is besieged by dark magic in an attempt by the government to clean the city of magic.

For years, Special Government department has been chasing anyone who had magical powers, calling them "infected." Many of the inhabitants live in complete ignorance, but Abigail discovers the whole truth in some of his father's ancient books. Suddenly, the magical powers take over her, something that had accompanied her all her life but she had hidden. At first, she is really scared because of that powers, but she will have to flee the city before she is labeled as infected and locked up, so an adventure begins beyond the borders full of adventures and dangers. This trip will change the way you see the world you live in and accept that magic, far from what you have always been taught, is an incredible gift and not a defect.
