A community of neighbors in a building in downtown Madrid gathers to vote on changing the elevator. However, a new tenant with mental health issues intends to rent the apartment of one of the owners. No one expected this, and it will turn the story of these neighbors on its head, leading them to debate the limits of coexistence and confront this personal dilemma.

'Votemos' is a film directed by Santiago Requejo ('I Can't Live Without You', 'Grandparents', or 'The Big Prize') that is based on the short film 'Votamos', nominated for the Goya Awards, and the play that reflects on mental health issues and prejudices.

Requejo invites the viewer to reflect on each person's empathy and tolerance towards individuals with mental health problems. A question thrown into the air that will guide the story of this film.
