All that’s left of you

''All that’s left of you'' is a drama directed by Cherien Dabis.

It builds the intimate and painful portrait of a Palestinian family marked by decades of conflict, memory, and resistance. 

The story begins in the present, when a teenager is injured during a protest in the West Bank, an event that deeply shakes his surroundings and forces his mother, Hanan, to look back to understand how they have arrived at this moment.

From that point, the film unfolds a narrative that spans seventy years of family history and intertwines personal memories with the political events that have shaped their lives.

Through three generations, it shows how uprooting, loss, and uncertainty are passed down from parents to children, ultimately shaping the identity of each member of the family. 

The passage of time becomes another character, reflecting the weight of decisions, absences, and interrupted dreams, but also the capacity for survival and the bond that keeps the family united.
