'And Then We Danced' tells us the story of Merab. Merab is a young dancer who has been practicing and rehearsing all his life. He dances for the National Dance Company of Georgia and is something he loves to do. Little by little he learns that Georgian dance is not a simple modality, it is the blood of an entire country. These are lessons he learns every day, while dancing and rehearsing with his partner, Mery. His whole life seems routine and yet everything is about to change. The changes begin when Irakli arrives at the company. He arrives with a much more carefree attitude and a much more rebellious character than Merab's. Both face and will be rivals in classes and dance duels. However, an object of desire begins to grow within Merab that he will have to face in the best way he knows. It will not be easy to hide your feelings in a conservative and very closed society that does not allow such relationships. You will have to face the need to face everything you know to be who you are. The film has received good reviews in the first European festivals to which it has gone, including several important ones like Valladolid, Seville or Sarajevo. In addition, she has been a candidate for Sweden to go to the Oscars. We will have to wait to see what the reaction of the public is, since the film premieres on February 7.
