André Masson, a prominent auctioneer from the famous Scottie's house, leads a relatively quiet life focused on his work, until one day he receives an unexpected letter that will change his destiny. In it, he is informed of the discovery in Mulhouse, at the home of a young worker, of a painting that was thought to be lost forever: a masterpiece by the Austrian painter Egon Schiele. Although initially skeptical, André decides to travel to the city to investigate the matter. Upon arrival and after analyzing the painting, he confronts the irrefutable reality: the painting is authentic, a treasure that was looted by the Nazis in 1939 and had remained missing ever since.

This discovery presents itself to André as the culmination of his career, an opportunity that could catapult him to the top of the art world. However, what begins as a triumph quickly turns into a moral and professional dilemma. The finding of the painting unleashes a series of conflicts, including dark personal interests, art market politics, and threats from powerful individuals who do not want the work to see the light of day.
