Battle of Soho

Madame Jo Jo's club has always been known as the home of cabaret and home of the most bizarres and extravagant shows. When it closed its doors back in 2014 because of a ?violent accident? it was considered as the death knell of Soho. Not only in London but in so many other important cities such as Brighton or Manchester a lot of important clubs have closed its doors affecting the LGBT community and its Drag Queen sub-culture. But it is in London Soho where the issue has become most serious and Madame Jo Jo's closure is viewed by many as a destruction of an important and vibrant part of the city's heart.

'Battle of Soho' seeks to document the stories behind all of these problems and explore histories, events and people behind this catastrophe.
