Bauryna salu

Following an ancient nomadic tradition known as "bauryna salu," Yersultan was handed over to his grandmother at birth so that she could raise him. For twelve years, she was his entire world: his home, his guide, and his only emotional connection. But over time, that very bond turned into a gilded cage. Raised away from his biological parents, he grew up with a feeling of abandonment that morphed into resentment, especially towards his father, whose absence felt as present as a shadow.

When his grandmother dies, Yersultan is forced to return to a home he does not recognize, with a family that feels strange to him. The return not only plunges him into deep loneliness but also marks the beginning of a painful transition into adulthood. Amidst this transformation, the young man must confront old wounds and learn to see with new eyes those who, although absent, also carry their own scars.

The forced coexistence awakens long-held tensions and silences, but it also opens up a possibility: the chance to rebuild broken ties, especially with his father. In this hesitant attempt at reconciliation, Yersultan begins to understand that love can also be clumsy, and that forgiveness—though difficult—is the first step towards growth and identity.
