Borgo

Melissa (Hafsia Herzi) is a thirty-two-year-old prison guard who is transferred to the prison in Corsica, a small island where a new facility has been installed. After moving to that place with her husband and two children, she must make her way and prove she is worth in her new position. In this prison it is common for the prisoners to be the ones who take control of the situation and dominate the guards, and Melissa's case is not different.

She meets in there a young inmate named Saveriu Pietri (Louis Memmi), who helps him integrate into the prison in exchange for small favors. However, the peculiar friendship between the two will go further when, after a time, Saveriu is released.

His partner owes money to a mafia that is chasing him, so he will go to Melissa to protect him. However, she must also separate her work from her family life so as not to endanger her loved ones. Will they both be able to emerge victorious?

'Borgo' is a film directed by French filmmaker Stéphane Demoustier, who also wrote the script with Pascal Garbarini. The cast is completed by Moussa Mansaly, Michel Fau, Pablo Pauly, Florence Loiret Caille, among others. It is distributed by Festival Films, which launches it at Spanish theaters the 22nd of November.
