Plot
Jeonim is a teacher who loves art and tries to convince her uncle Chu Sieon, a former theater director, to direct a representative play for her school's department. While she seeks inspiration by sketching near a stream, her uncle accepts the challenge motivated by having directed at that same university four decades ago. As rehearsals progress, Sieon begins to feel attracted to Professor Jeong, a colleague of Jeonim, while she finds in watercolors and her morning walks by the stream a perfect way to observe and understand the secret of its current. However, a scandalous incident among the students puts the production in doubt, and both end up getting involved. Amid art, nostalgia, and conflicts, Jeonim and her uncle will face a delicate situation.
The director continues to demonstrate a vibrant passion for stories that reflect the pure state of the human soul through everyday fragments. With its progress, a warm and complex narrative is generated that corresponds with personal relationships.
This film is written and directed by Hong Sang-soo, who also composes the music. He is a director known for 'Right Now, Wrong Then' and 'Day and Night', and this time he features a cast led by Kim Min-hee, Kwon Hae-hyo, and Cho Young. An emotional jorney through the fragility of human beings.
