Cat in the Wall

In the southest part of the city of London, there is a multicultural neighborhood where this story takes place. In this particular neighborhood there's a municipal building, in where an entire community of working-class inmigrants are living. The lives of this people will change completely when an abandoned cat suddenly appears in this place.

One of the people who are living in this building is Irina. She is a single mother of a Bulgarian family and is defined by her constant fight with all of the neigbours, for encouraging them unsuccessfully to stand up to the system and make an statement. The mysterious appearence of this cat between the walls of her house, will be the trigger for this woman's life to be turned upside down. It will also be what will shortly motivate this single mother after making a rather drastic decision to give her life a twist.

The film is driving between drama and comedy, with an obvious social criticism and black humor. It is told from the point of view of this working-class immigrant community living in a London neighborhood and also deals with topics such as gentrification. The film tells a story that claims to give a voice to those who are not usually given too much space to express themselves usually.
