Emilie Tesson-Hansen is a prestigious human resources manager at the multinational Esen, one of the most important in France. Recently, she was chosen to be in charge of the area thanks to her superior, Stéphane Froncart, who saw in her a ruthless elegance and a cold character. Because Emilie's great ability is to persuade employees to be forced to resign their positions, as well as put pressure on executives with economic problems or dubious morality to avoid dismissal and resign, thus avoiding compensation. Without moral principles, Emilie is the favorite employee of her superiors. Everything will change when Didier Dalmat, one of the company's administrators, can no longer with the intimidation of Emilie and ends up jumping through a window of the building. Annoyed by the tragedy that has just occurred, Emilie will realize that her bosses, those who loved her so much for her way of running the department, want to burden her with all the faults, thus avoiding a deeper investigation into the company.
