Cradle Of Champions

A documentary on the epic trajectory of three young people fighting for their lives in the biggest, oldest and most important amateur boxing championship in the world: New York's Daily News Golden Gloves. The lives that count the footage are those of James Wilkins, Nisa Rodriguez and Titus Williams. We are facing an odyssey with urban aesthetics of the aforementioned tournament, which lasts ten weeks. It has been held annually since 1927 and it has produced more professional champions worldwide than the Olympic Games. In addition, the minutes of footage revolve around the most human side of this story: the dreams, disappointments and redemptions of the protagonists, which are presented in an intimist way and a touch cinema verité.
