Plot

Kate Matheiesen (Halle Berry ), is a sharks expert, that gets traumatized when their diving teacher dies tragically due to a hard attack by one of these animals. So every time she gets under the water, she remembers the frustrating image, becoming unable of making her work as before, she is haunted by the memory.

Therefore, she decides to leave everything, however, her ex-husband Jeff (Olivier Martinez), tries to help her facing her fears, but he hides some economic interest as a lucrative opportunity to lead a thrill-seeking rich man on a shark meeting, due to he wants to be alone with one of these animals out of the cage.

Kate is the only person who can control these dangerous situations, so she will have to decide if she remains paralyzed by fear, or accepts the proposal that could save her bills piling up.
