Fighter

On January 10, 2021, 'Fighter', the upcoming Indian action film in Hindi directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, was announced. Pre-production, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, was significantly delayed.

Its plot follows the adventures of Shamsher Pathania after he manages to enlist in the Indian Air Force. His new profession will lead him to become an army hero but first he will have to face numerous obstacles to achieve it.

Principal photography finally began in November 2022, and filming took place at various times in Assam, Hyderabad, Jammu and Kashmir, and Mumbai, concluding in late October. During the filming, real Indian Air Force cadets participated.

The soundtrack album, composed by duo Vishal-Shekhar, consists of five songs, with Satchith Paulose as the cinematographer, and visuals by DNEG.

The film, starring Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor, serves as the first installment in a planned aerial action franchise. In its plot, references are made to the 2019 Pulwama attack, the 2019 Balakot airstrike and the 2019 India-Pakistan border skirmishes.

It was released in Spain on January 25, 2024 by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and arrived in the United States distributed by Paramount Pictures.
