Plot

Set in Guatemala during the 80s, 'Los gigantes no existen' tells the story of Andrés, a boy who during the worst days of the civil war, lives with Pedro González, one of the men who massacred all the women and children in his village. Andrés has survived, but he is scared. Pedro's wife, María, is also scared, scared to leave home, scared of lose Andrés, whom he considers "her new son". Even Pedro is scared, scared of himself and what the Army forces him to do. Andrés would like to run away, but he also wants to stay with his new family... until his sister appears.

Directed by the Spanish filmmaker Chema Rodríguez, director of 'Anochece en la India' and screenwriter of '4 cans', by Gerardo Olivares.
