Plot

'Gold' is a film which is based on the real story of the Bre-X Mineral Corporation scandal back in 1993. Matthew McConaughey ('Interstellar') stars as Kenny Wells, a luckless hustler who teams up with an unfortunate geologist, performed by Edgar Ramirez ('Joy'), in order to search for gold in the Indonesian jungle. During their expedition, the main characters will discover a scandal which will move the society of that time.

The film is directed by Stephen Gaghan ('Traffic', 'Syriana'), and among the rest of the cast we find Bryce Dallas Howard ('The Help') in the role of Kenny, the girlfriend of the main character. Their longtime relationship will be endangered during this dangerous adventure, pushing them to the breaking point.
