Plot
An old-fashioned cable car connects two towns in Georgia, one in the mountains and the other in the valley. While one gondola is ascending, the other is descending. At the point where the two gondolas cross, the gazes of the two girls operating the cable car also meet. Between them, not only a game arises, but feelings also begin to awaken—feelings that raise the suspicions of their boss. When they finally decide to go on a romantic date, the boss is more than willing to put an end to any kind of relationship between them. But things don't always go as we expect.
The film has received the award for Best Feature Film at the LGTBI Film Festival of the Niemeyer Center and has been presented at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the German Film Fest Madrid.
The German director, Veit Helmer, has been writing, directing, and producing his own films independently for 41 years. His first feature film was 'Tuvalo' (1999), which was selected for the San Sebastián Film Festival, among many others. 'The Bra' (2018) was also presented at the Tokyo Film Festival and stars Spanish actress Paz Vega. What is interesting about this director is that he makes all his films silent, allowing him to work with actors from all over the world.
