The Good Nurse

First feature film shot in English-language and in Hollywood by Danish filmmaker Tobias Lindholm, nominated for an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film for war film 'A War'. Written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for '1917', by Sam Mendes. Based on the true-crime book 'The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness, and Murder' by Charles Graber, which about life of serial killer Charles Cullen. 'The Good Nurse' had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Year 2003, Amy Loughren (Jessica Chastain) is a single mother with two daughters who works as a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Parkfield Memorial Hospital, New Jersey. Amy suffers from cardiomyopathy and must wait a few months to be able to operate, because she still does not have medical insurance from the hospital. Those months, full of uncertainty since she could suffer a heart attack or stroke, will be more bearable with the arrival of a partner who will help her on the journey, Charles Cullen (Eddie Redmayne).

Charles is charming, kind and attentive. Amy trusts her new partner, which allows her to have less intense days in the hospital ICU. But, little by little, strange things begin to happen in health center. Without explaining reasons, patients who, initially, were well and in the process of recovery begin to die. Amy will begin to suspect Charles and she will discover that a monster hides behind the face of that kind man.

Directed by Tobias Lindholm and written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns, 'The Good Nurse' stars Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne, rounding out the cast are Noah Emmerich, Nnamdi Asomugha, Kim Dickens and Malik Yoba.
