Plot
The extraordinary and charismatic Ingeborg Bachmann has conquered the male-dominated bastion of German-language literature with her poetry. Although still young, Ingeborg Bachmann is at the peak of her career when she meets the famous playwright Max Frisch. Her love is passionate, but professional and personal friction begins to disturb the harmony. When Ingeborg is in trouble, her friends are there to help her, among them Hans Werner Henze and the young Adolf Opel, a Viennese journalist and man of letters. Together they travel to the desert. b> On this journey, Ingeborg finds her way back to herself and, above all, to her writing.
Margarethe von Trotta's latest film ('Hannah Arendt', 'The German Sisters'), which was selected to participate in the Official Section of the Berlinale, will be distributed in Spain by ADSO FILMS. It stars Vicky Krieps ('The Invisible Thread', 'The Rebellious Empress') and plays the Austrian poet and author Ingeborg Bachman. The film is interested in the four years that Bachmann spent with Max Frich b> (whose role is played by Ronald Zehrfeld) and the journey she undertook through the desert to rediscover herself and her writing.
Margarethe von Trotta is one of the leading German directors and an integral part of the German "Autorenkino". Her films, often focusing on strong female protagonists and women in the context of the story, have premiered at major international film festivals and won awards around the world. In 2022 she received the European Cinema Lifetime Achievement Award.
