Into the Wonderwoods

Angelo is a 10-year-old adventurous boy whose parents forget him at a gas station while they were on their way to visit his grandmother, who is not in good health. At first, the little boy decides to stay close to where they left him, thinking that his family would soon arrive to take him back into the car. Seeing that a lot of time has passed and believing himself to be an explorer like the ones in his imagination, Angelo decides to cross the forest to reach his grandmother's house on his own.

The vegetation in the area blocks any rays of light that may be present at sunset, but fear does not stop the boy, who remains determined in his complicated mission. Once it is completely dark, Angelo notices the presence of something luminous in the middle of the forest, so he decides to follow it. This will lead him to another dimension within the forest, where he will encounter strange creatures like fairies, golems, or ogres, although not all of them will be friendly.

This animated film directed by Vincent Paronnaud ('Persepolis') and Alexis Ducord ('Zombillénium') was nominated for the Crystal Award for Best Feature Film at the Annecy festival, one of the major celebrations of animated cinema where projects from all over the world are showcased and recognized.
