Plot

'Islas' is a feature film directed by Marina Seresesky and released in 2026. The story takes place in the Hotel Paradise, a coastal accommodation that has lost its splendor and now shows empty spaces, deteriorated rooms, and silent hallways, where employees and guests coexist in a dull and routine atmosphere.

The film follows Amparo Lamar, played by Ana Belén, who arrives at the hotel intending to spend two days in solitude. During that time, she meets Toni, a young man played by Manu Vega, who is also staying at the place. Throughout their stay, both characters share conversations, strolls around the surroundings, and moments of stillness in the hotel facilities, showing how their lives unfold within that specific environment.

The main cast is completed by Eva Llorach and Jorge Usón, along with other actors such as Iván Villanueva, Intissar El Meskine, and Elena Zurita, who portray employees, visitors, and companions interacting within the hotel during the story's timeframe.

The direction is in the hands of Marina Seresesky. The film is primarily set in the Canary Islands and presents a linear narrative that documents the coexistence of the protagonists in that specific space, without including external or fictional elements outside of that context.
