Kate Plays Christine

This documentary shows how actress Kate Lyn Sheil prepares herself to portray Christine Chubbick during the final days of life. This mysterious TV presenter killed herself on national television in 1974. Instead of choosing an experienced actress, such as Meryl Streep or Gleen Close, the producers of the movie chose Sheil, an unknown actress for the role. Although Kate uses makeup, a wig and contact lenses, it was not easy to interpret Christine, who came across as a depressive woman with a difficult character, whose message to the humanity was not well interpreted.

'Kate Plays Sheil' is a documentary which was directed by Robert Greene and was showed at the Sundance Film Festival 2016 in the Documentaries Section.
