Kinda Pregnant

'Kinda Pregnant' is a U.S. comedy directed by Tyler Spindel. It is produced, starred in, and written by Amy Schumer, sharing the script with Julie Paiva. The protagonist is Lainy, a woman who has dreamed of being a mother her whole life. Now, she is at that age when everyone around her is starting to get pregnant: her best friend Kate, her colleagues at the school where she works as a teacher... One day, while accompanying Kate to try on maternity clothes, she tries on a fake belly and notices how people begin to treat her with more respect and kindness. So, against the advice of her friends and colleagues, Lainy decides to pretend to be pregnant in her daily life.

What Lainy doesn't expect is that she would eventually find love in Josh, the brother of a fellow prenatal yoga classmate she has joined. The young woman will try to hide her charade as best as she can, leading to a lot of embarrassing situations.

'Kinda Pregnant' stars, in addition to Amy Schumer, Will Forte, Jillian Bell, Brianne Howey, Lizze Broadway, and Urzila Carlson. The film has been shot in New York and mostly panned by critics, labeling it as flat and shallow in character development.
