Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' is the new installment of the successful film saga 'Planet of the Apes', which began in 1968 and has expanded over five decades, rebooting in 2011 with 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'. This new movie is directed by Wes Ball ('The Maze Runner') and is a sequel to 'War for the Planet of the Apes', marking the fourth installment since the reboot of the saga.

The story is set several generations into the future after Caesar's reign. Now, the apes are the dominant species living in harmony, while humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, a young ape embarks on a harrowing journey that will lead him to question everything he knows about the past and make decisions that will define the future for both apes and humans alike.

'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' stars Owen Teague ('It'), Freya Allan ('The Witcher'), Kevin Durand ('Locke & Key'), Peter Macon ('Shameless'), and William H. Macy ('Fargo'). The screenplay is by Josh Friedman ('War of the Worlds'), Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver ('Avatar: The Way of Water'), along with Patrick Aison ('Predator: Prey'), based on characters created by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.

Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr. ('The Maze Runner'), Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Jason Reed ('Mulan') are the producers of the film, with Peter Chernin (the 'Planet of the Apes' trilogy) and Jenno Topping ('Le Mans '66') as executive producers.
