La bala

'The Bullet' tells the story of Julián, a priest from a well-off provincial family who tries to fulfill the promise he made to his mother: to recover the body of his aunt, a nurse of the Blue Division who fell during World War II in the Soviet Union. However, it will not be an easy task. As he uncovers the intricacies of his aunt's death, eighty years ago, something stirs within him and his convictions are completely shaken. 

'La bala' is written and directed by Carlos Iglesias, who also stars in the film. The Spanish filmmaker and actor is the creator of other feature films such as 'A Franco, 14 Pesetas', 'Ispansi (Spaniards)', '2 Francs, 40 Pesetas', and 'The Wedding Suite'; he has also participated as an actor in all of them. This time, Iglesias delves into the drama of the Spanish post-war mixed with a contemporary plot that stirs historical memory and the lives of its protagonists. 

The cast includes other actors and actresses such as Silvia Marsó, Paula Iglesias, Eloísa Vargas, Carlos Hipólito, Roberto Álvarez, Manuel Morón, Miguel Rellán, Adrián Expósito, and Lisi Linder. Produced by Gonafilm and RTVE. 

The film hits theaters on November 21, 2025.
