Marguerite Duras remembers her past when she found two old notebooks in a forgotten box. In the Nazi-occupied France of 1944, the young and brilliant writer actively participates in the Resistance along with her husband, Robert Antelme but when he is deported by the Gestapo, Marguerite embarks on a desperate struggle to get him to return. To do so, he will take great risks in forming friendships with a collaborationist named Rabier in a chase game throughout Paris. When everyone returns, she must continue to wait full of anguish. Inspired by the best-seller novel by Marguerite Duras "El dolor" is a great testimony about the moral and political conflict of justice in a time of victors and losers.
