La higuera de los bastardos

Rogelio (Karra Elejalde) is a proud falangist who serves Franco fiercely and develops without any hesitation his work as executor of reds. However, when he kills a man and is up to murder his child, the look of the kid crosses his. In that same instant, Rogelio is certain that the boy will kill him and this provokes a change on him. From that moment on, he will take care of the fig tree that is born in the tomb dug by the kid. Rogelio so becomes a hermit... and, for his disgrace, a center for religious peregrination. The movie is a black comedy helmed by Ana Murugarren, who already directed 'Tres Mentiras' in 2014. Alongside Elejalde, the cast includes Pepa Aniorte and Carlos Areces. The film is based on the novel 'La higuera', by Ramiro Pinilla.
