'La manzana de oro' is an adaptation of the novel 'Ávidas pretensiones', by Fernando Aramburu. The new comedy by Jaime Chávarri, starring Sergi López, Marta Nieto and Adrián Lastra tells the story of three generations of poets who meet every year in an isolated convent to compete for a golden prize. The evening passes calmly until a guest that no one expected arrives and the Poetry Journeys are completely destabilized.

The Poetry Journeys bring together different national poetry tendencies every year in an isolated convent in the northwest of the peninsula. During a fast weekend, while the poets write and recite their poems, they keep an eye on each other as they all pursue the same goal. The golden apple.

Apart from the protagonists, the cast is completed by Roberto Enríquez, Vicky Peña, Ginés García Millán, Paca Gabaldón, Carla Campra, Isabel Garrido and Celso Bugallo. The writting team is formed by Fernando Aramburu, Jaime Chávarri and José Ángel Esteban.
