The protagonist is Luisa, a woman who married for convenience and who has not found true love in that marriage. In addition, a cousin of his returns to the city, to Guanajuato. He is now a handsome and successful young man who intends to conquer her, as he wanted to achieve in the past. Little by little the approach is giving its fruits and Luisa begins to doubt: it wants to fall yielded to its feet, but its provincial morality prevents her from betraying her husband, even though it does not make her happy.
