The Zone of Avoidance

Luis (Francisco Conde) is a man who lives happily with his wife, Ángela (Alba Loureiro). He is an astrophysicist and his life is calmed and monotonous. One day, the couple discovers that they have new neighbors: a couple has moved next door with their daughter, Iris (Silvia Castellón), an innocent girl who is nearly ten years old.

After seeing her, Luis enters into a severe problem that will lead him into constant crying and madness: he cannot help but see the memory of a childhood love, a fact that makes him feel attracted to Iris. However, he is aware of how impossible and immoral his feeling is, so, scared and overwhelmed, he tries to explain to those around him what is going on.

To make things worse, Ángela believes that her husband is cheating on her and Luis is unable to tell her the truth. Although he tries to go to therapy, his darkest and most primitive impulses lead him to meet Iris and accompany her home. Will he be able to leave his feelings behind?

'La Zona Vacía' is an experimental and psychological film directed and written by Kurro González, and stars Francisco Conde, who also produces it. The film's cast is completed by Abraham Montufo, Elena Aguirre, Marcos Cascon and Alejandra Lorente. The project is also produced by 32 Historias Producciones.
