Plot
The new film by director Alejandra Márquez Abella after 'Semana Santa' (2015) is 'Las chicas bien' (2018). The film has a script written by the same director Alejandra Márquez Abella and Monika Revilla (screenwriter of 'La Casa de las Flores'), and is based on Guadalupe Loaeza's super sales novel of the same title. The film tells the events that take place in the middle of high-standing homes, Grand Marquis cars and the music of the famous singer Julio Iglesias. Yuri and Menudo, Sofia (Ilse Salas, actress of 'Cantinflas', 'Güeros' ...) and a group of women live the evolution of classism, good customs and economic crises that take place in Mexico during the beginning of the In the eighties, in the government of José López Portillo, the president who ran the country between 1976 and 1982. From an original and intimate point of view, with a nice original soundtrack, the film was awarded at the Malaga Festival with the prize for best Latin American film, best script and best editing. At the Ariel Awards she won the best actress award for Ilse Salas.
