Plot

'Leningrad Cowboys Go America' is the film written, directed and produced by the Finnish filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki, which introduces us to a story whose protagonists are the Leningrad Cowboys, a rock group that decides to try their luck in the United States. Along with their characteristic pints, they carry with them in a coffin the frozen body of the bassist, whose representative Vladimir wants in order to keep the beers cold. In the United States the group tries different music styles without success, but after a road trip to Mexico to play at a wedding, the country will see its potential and finally they'll occupy the first positions in the lists, and the bass player will be thawed thanks to the heat of the Latin country.
