Lies We Tell

'Lies We Tell' is based on the classic mystery novel written by the Irishman, Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu.

The story centers on young Maud, who lives in the depths of a vast and remote estate in the wilds of Ireland. At eighteen years old, he must face the sudden death of his father. This loss will make her the heir to all her riches.

Although he must wait until he reaches the age of majority, at 21 years old. Her late father has named who will be in charge of acting as guardian while the young woman is not older. Her trustee is her uncle Silas, whom the young woman has never seen in her life.

Silas is a man who is being investigated as responsible for a murder. Her uncle will arrive at her home accompanied by his children, Maud's first children. Things will get difficult for the protagonist who will be stalked by all the people who want to obtain some benefit from her father's death. Especially because whoever will be behind all this pulling the strings will be his own relative.

The uncle, who at first will try to gain the trust of the young heiress, will want his niece to marry with his own blood. The tension between the young woman and her uncle will rise until it reaches its maximum point.
