Mammal

'Mammal' is a drama co-written and directed by Rebecca Daly ('The Other Side of the Sleep') and stars Rachel Griffiths, Michael McElhatton, Barry Keoghan and Nika McGuigan.

The film tells the story of Margaret, a divorced woman unable to overcome the loss of her teenage son. Therefore, she begins to find solace in Joe, a homeless young man who wants to share new experiences and time with her. However, this strange relationship shows a dark side when Joe begins to become involved in a dangerous gang and Margaret's husband stands against the contact between them.

'Mammal', a film produced by Fastnet Films, was shown in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition section at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
