Marajó Island, Amazon jungle. Marcielle (Tielle) grows by the river alongside her father, her mother, and her three brothers. From a young age, her mother's words shape her view of the world: she idolizes her older sister, who, according to the family, managed to escape the harshness of her reality "by finding a good man" in the barges that navigate the region. Marcielle clings to this ideal, imagining that her sister's life is the promise of freedom and happiness.

As time passes, the illusion crumbles. Her sister's reality reveals itself to be fragmented and difficult, and Marcielle faces the contradiction of her own life: trapped between a home that exerts control and violence and a community that limits women to fixed and invisible roles. At the same time, she observes the vulnerability of her younger sister, increasingly exposed to the same fate she fears.

Determined to break the cycle of oppression, Marcielle begins to challenge the rules of her family and the society that upholds them, seeking ways to protect those she loves and claim a different future. Among rivers, jungle, and barges, her struggle is not only against the men who dictate order, but against the expectations that have defined the women of her community for generations.
