Maria rêve

'Maria rêve' is the new French production written and directed by Lauriane Escaffre and Yvonnick Muller. The 93-minute film follows the life of Maria, a woman who gets to work in the cleaning team of the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. When this happens, your life changes completely. Maria, who had always been a very lonely person, meets Hubert, the school's extravagant janitor. Hubert has a peculiar obsession, learning and mastering all the dance passes of the historic singer Elvis Presley. The relationship between them is growing, causing our protagonist to put aside her loneliness for the first time in her life, discovering life in another way and knowing herself. Mary will be forced to decide if she is willing to leave everything for love and enjoy life to the fullest.

The cast includes Karin Viard, Grégory Gadebois, Noée Abita, Catherine Salée, Muriel Combeau, Philippe Uchan, Samira Sedira, Catherine Vidal, Aliénor Barre and Tom Rivoire.

The soundtrack of this new romantic comedy is by René Aubry, while Antoine Sanier will be in charge of photography.

'Maria rêve', distributed by Filmax, will be released in cinemas throughout Spain on 16 December 2022.

Moreover, the film was first released in the United States on October 12, 2022, where it had its premiere in the North American country at the French American Film Festival.
