Masaan

Everything takes place in the city of Benares, on the banks of Ganges river where tradition is most important and should always be respected. There are four different stories about crossing each other: Deepak (Vicky Kaushal) is a young man from a poor neighborhood who falls in love with a girl from upper class. On the other hand we have Devi (Richa Chadda) , a university student who does not behave like the others girls and who is trying to overcome the disappearance of her lover. In addition, his father Chaudhary Pathak (Sanjay Mishra) is being victim of police corruption. Finally we have Jhonta, a child who is just looking for a family. They are caught between the customs of the city and the modern era.
